FANTASTIC!
If I could give this 10 stars I would. I picked this up because I am familiar with the area. WOW! This is an unputdownable story. I hope someone makes this into a movie! The writing is lyrical and wonderful. The characters are so realistic and 3-dimensional that you feel you are in the room with them. I became totally invested in this journey of theirs. I loved every single page. There is heartbreak, abuse, neglect, fear, hope, redemption but most of all profound love. I cannot say enough good things about this story. Thank you Mr. Davis for a fantastic book!
